A brother and sister who notice their fathers strange behaviours while their mother is away on a trip following his long day in the basement of their home. The father is a plant scientist (botanist) whom often works at home in the basement on his experiments. This particular day though he spent an extremly long amount of time locked away with his experiment. When he came upstairs, his attitude had became more rude and just a little different than usual. The mother leaves the next day, and the father tries to feed the children plant food for meals, constantly telling the kids not to go in the basement, and even bugs surrounding his bed led his daughter to believe something is seriously wrong. She begins to imagine the idea that her father is really part plant and part human. Is it true? She decides to take a trip to the basement when her dad is out of the house just to discover what is really happening down their with their father's secret experiments.
